Practice Policies
Goal for parents/swimmers
- work as a unified team (swimmers, parents, and staff) respecting others
- provide support through volunteer work and being an active parent or swimmer to the best of your ability
- make our short time together effective and productive in areas of improved swimming skills, exemplary character and friendly relationships for everyone involved
Swimmers:
- On time for practice with goggles, towel, water bottle, sneakers for dryland
- No horseplay on deck or in pool
- Exercise basic practice principles -No talking while coach is talking, keep hands to yourself, NO foul language or gestures, ready and listening for coaches’ instructions, follow protocol for practice etiquette – considerate actions towards others – no aggressive play
- Report any misconduct by other swimmers to coaches/team leaders immediately
- Report any injuries immediately to coaches
Parents:
- Parents of 6 and Unders must be on the pool deck during practice.
- We will practice in light rain. If it there is thunder or lightning all swimmers must exit the pool immediately and will stay out for 30 minutes after the last occurrence. If it is only thundering all swimmers will move to the clubhouse overhang and will perform dryland exercises as directed by the coaching staff. . If there is lightning all swimmers and parents must leave the pool.
