Coach Sam will be returning as the Marlins Head Coach this year. She has been a member of the Manchester Marlins since she was 4 years old. She was a 12 year member of the Marlins of Raleigh, last swimming in the Senior Elite group, qualifying for Southeastern Sectionals every year since she was 10. Sam was a 4 year varsity swimmer for Millbrook High School, qualifying for Conference, Regionals and States each year, along with being selected to the Leadership Team for her last 2 years. Sam has been trained in coaching by the Marlins of Raleigh and was employed as an Individual Lesson Coach as well as a North Raleigh AG1 Assistant Coach. Sam is thankful that she was able to spend many seasons mentoring under Coach Marie and the rest of the Schoening family where she learned a tremendous amount about swimming and sportsmanship. She attends UNC Chapel Hill where she is majoring in Biology on a pred-med track.
