Ribbons from last week:
All ribbons are in the ribbon box in the kitchen. Each family should have a folder in a black box by the microwave in the kitchen. Each week you can collect your ribbons from there. Thanks Coach Sam for filing the ribbons from the Lifetime meet!

- Pay $20

Saving Grace Fundraiser:

Our MSRC Coaches are available for swim lessons. If you are interested, or know anyone who is, please contact Coach Sam at 919-455-4975. She will assign a coach to the lesson based on swimmer skill level and scheduling availability. Evenings after practice or weekends are the nest time but we can work around your schedule. Cost for members is $25 for individual 30 minute lesson and $30 for group 30 minute lesson. If you have any questions you can also contact me at 919-345-9359. If you know of anyone looking for lessons we do teach non-swim team members so please refer us?.
Meet Recap from 6/23 against Lifetime:
I promise that I will be sending out a full recap for the first 4 meets of the season this weekend. I apologize for the delay. I'm still getting used to typing and it takes me longer but I will get it done! Once again our swimmers perfectly exemplified what sportsmanship is. I saw all of our swimmers waiting until everyone in their heat was done swimming before hopping out of the pool. It is little things like this that are just as important and who won the heat.
Extra events at last Home Meet:
Traditionally at our last home meet of the season we have 2 special events- Senior Night and the 6 and Under Cupcake races. Senior night is when we honor those swimmers who have graduated this year. This acknowledgment occurs at the start of the 15-18 freestyle events. The 6 and Under Cupcake race is also a type of graduation- each swimmer that swims the length of the pool (instead of to the 15 yard rope) is rewarded with a cupcake. We include our visiting 6 and unders and this event takes place at the beginning of the butterfly events. Although this is traditionally a Butterfly race swimmers may choose any stroke and kid catchers will be available if needed. I will be creating a sign up for cupcake donations.
Action Items:
Prior to Sunday 7/5 at 6 PM
- Declare your swimmers for 7/7 meet
- RSVP for Munchin Marlins dinner on 7/6
- Sign up to donate to Munchin Marlins 7/6 dinner if able
- Sign up to donate to our last concessions on 7/7 if able
- Volunteer for open meet positions for 7/7 meet.
As always if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. And again, thank you all for everything you do for our team!
GO MARLINS!
