Munchin Marlins Monday 7/15
Munchin Marlins today is Chick-Fil-A nuggets, mac and cheese, salad, fruit, chips, veggie tray and dessert. Cost is $5 per swimmer, venmo me @Jackie-Miller-160. There are a couple of open signups- fruit and dessert. Thank you to Denise LaPlace-Brin for handling the CFA!!
Meet Tuesday 7/16 Home against Heritage:
You will need to arrive so that your swimmers are ready to stretch on the pool deck by 4:45, our pool warmup time is 5-5:30. Meet starts at 6 PM with a special guest to perform our National Anthem.
Thank you to everyone for the Concessions Donations which are almost filled except for a few bags of ice.
We will be holding 2 Special Events at our last meet.
- Senior Night- scheduled for before 15-18 Girls Freestyle. We will be honoring long time Marlins Elizabeth Cook and Vendela Gustafsson.
- 6 and Under Cupcake Race- any 6 and Under who would like to participate may join in. This event is held right before 7-8 Boys Butterfly. It is a sort of rite of passage for some of these swimmers to be able to showcase their abilities by swimming the entire length of the pool- any stroke- instead of the normal 15 yard line. Once they reach the end of the pool they are given a cupcake. Both teams have (15) 6 and unders each so if anyone is willing/able to donate cupcakes and/or hand them out please let me know.

Meet Recap from 7/9 meet at Lakepark
Once again our mightly Marlins traveled to challenge a team much larger than ourselves. Lakepark had 104 swimmers and we had 46. We were not able to fill out all relay teams which makes a huge difference. Still, if you go by points per swimmer our swimmers earned more points :) We also had many personal bests. It was a great meet where once again our Marlins showcased their sportsmanship.
Double Winners: Adelie Brodzinski and Mason Curtis
Triple Winners: Dillon Wilson and Andrew Cook
Shoutouts: Theo Convissar and Jackie Brin both earned the only points in their breast stroke main events for being the only legal swimmers in their races! Other event winners were Abbott Keigan, Carpenter Keigan, Camden Sant'Agata, and Sam Miller.
Relay Swim ups: Thank you to the following swimmers who helped fill out relay teams by swimming up:
Sully Lloyd (8 and Under Medley), Adelie Brodzinski (8 and Under Medley and Free), Oliva Hammel (8 and Under Free), Marshall Miller (9-10 Medley), Elliot White (9-10 Free), Claire Curtis (13-14 Medley and Free) Gavin Ivory (15-18 Medley and Free)
Thats a whole lot of swim ups!!
Action Items:
Sign up for last meet jobs if possible and please RSVP for the Awards Ceremony.
***Lastly- I am including a video that Liz Convissar complied last year- inspiration for photos to take at last meet and awards ceremony :) Thanks again Liz, still love watching this!
