Meet Tuesday July 18 Home against Meredith Townes:

Arrive by 4:45 ready to stretch- no need for swimmer numbers.

Reminder of Special events:

• Senior Recognition- at start of 15-18 freestyle events. We will be honoring Allie Pratt and Coach Sam.
• 6 and under Butterfly Race- at the end of 15-18 Breaststroke events. Reminder to notify me of any dietary restrictions. Thank you to those who volunteered to bring cupcakes.
• We will have a Parent Relay!! Thank you to those who plan to participate! We will also have a Coaches Relay team, I am electing to have it just be coaches so that the kids can watch and cheer on the parents. Meredith Townes will also have one Parent and one Coaches Relay.

Volunteers needed for 7/18 Meet

Vacant positions are:

• Timer- need 1- we will be using Meredith Townes Timedrops (keyfob)
• Backup timer
• Order of Finish Judge
• Not listed as a job but need people to help set up pool deck before 5 PM

North Raleigh Championship Meet Recap

GO MARLINS!!! 2^ND PLACE FINISH!!

Thank you to the 24 swimmers and their families who attended this meet and took time out of your weekend, it is much appreciated. I have updated all of your times into Swimtopia so that you can see all of the many time improvements and new best times! Thanks to Kelley, Connie and Heather for timing. We will present the ribbons and medals at our Award Ceremony on Wednesday. If you are not able to attend, please let me know and we can coordinate delivery of your awards from this meet.

End of Season Awards Banquet Wednesday 7/19 at MSRC:

Please forward to Coach Sam ([email protected]) any pictures you have from the Season that you would like included in a slide show she will compile. Please also feel free to print and post any pictures on our Marlins Bulletin Board at the pool, or send to me to post on our website.

This is a potluck and after the awards portion kids will be allowed to swim so make sure you pack a suit! We will be having cake so please do not all bring desserts 😊 If anyone would like to create a sign up genius to make sure we have everything covered please let me know.

Arrive by 6 PM, we will eat and then plan to start awards by 6:30-6:45.

Best Times:

I will be placing in your family folders a swimmer "report card." (I don't like the name but that's what Swimtopia calls it.) It shows their progression throughout the season in all strokes and shows all the best times they achieved. I was looking through them over the weekend and was amazed at the percentages- some kids have a 50% improvement from the start of the season. I apologize that I did not print our personal best ribbons each week (cost and budget issues this year) but please know that there has been alot of improvement!! I am waiting to print the cards until I can include times from our last meet, but if you would like a digital copy before, please let me know and I will send to you.

Meet Recap- correction

I made a mistake on my last recap and missed Scott Peterson swimming up in the Boys 15-18 Relay. My apologies to Scott!!
