Munchin Marlins:

Monday is Pasta Night. All entrees will be provided, we are only asking for 5 donations of dessert items (10 servings each to be delivered to the pool no later than 4:45 PM.)

There will be a $3 charge per plate, payable as cash or venmo @Jennifer-Curtis-23 or @Ashley-Brodzinski.

Next Meet Tuesday June 20 at North Raleigh Swim Club:

Declarations and Job Signups are open. Deadline for declarations is noon on Sunday. Meet details will be sent out on Monday

Swimmingly times:

Thanks to everyone who registered swimmers on a very short turnaround. To make the meet run more smoothly we opted to use Springdale’s timing system. I will be working this weekend on manually entering the times from Swimtopia/Meet Maestro into Swimmingly so you will see updates from Swimmingly when I publish those. Please note that some times in the meet results file, which I am attaching, are not correct- mostly the medley relays- as there were issues at the beginning of the meet. I will be correcting those in Swimmingly- see me with any questions.

Need Stroke and Turn Judge for June 27th

Matt Cook has been our Stroke and Turn Judge for years but he is unavailable for the Away Meet against Hasentree. If anyone is interested you can shadow Matt at the meet against North Raleigh. Without a Stroke and Turn Judge we would have to forfeit the meet. Please contact me if you are interested.

Coach Sam's Update:

Thank you everyone! Our first meet was a huge success! We had so many great swims and the team spirit was amazing. I reviewed all DQ slips with swimmers yesterday, if your swimmer was DQ’d and was not at practice I will continue review on Monday. I am so proud of the swims and the way our swimmers handled themselves in and out of the water!

Swim Cap Update:

I believe everyone received a cap- if you did not, please let me know.

Ribbons:

I have distributed all ribbons. I will be working on getting the Personal Best info out (needs to be done through Swimmingly ☹)

Meet Recap

We had the highest swimmer attendance percentage that I remember in 14 years and I am so thankful for all of the parents who reached out and offered to do any job where they were needed! We could not do this without our volunteers and you all have made the running of the meet so easy this year! Thank you!

Final Score- Springdale 214, Manchester 284!!!

We had so many great swims, from first timers to seasoned veterans. The atmosphere on deck was so enthusiastic- I loved hearing all of the cheering! Best moment of the night was the kids jumping in the pool after a well deserved win! Congrats to all!!

Double Winners: Emily Onesti and Sam Miller

Triple Winners: Abbott Keigan, Blair Wilson, Carpenter Keigan, Gavin Ivory, Colin Harvey and Andrew Cook
