I cannot believe it is already week 4 and time for Time Trials- the season is flying by!

This week's update:

• Time trials this Tuesday during practice
• Munchin Marlins starts next Monday 6/13
• 1st meet Tuesday 6/14- please declare your swimmer ASAP
• Coaches update
• Swimmingly- action needed by ALL parents, along with volunteers

Time Trials

Time Trials will be held this coming Tuesday 6/7 during each practice session.  We still need 2 more timers for the 5:30-6:30 group as that is a very large group. Please note that if your swimmer is attending a practice group outside of the age range for that session please let us know so we can make sure we are timing them in the correct event for their age.

Munchin Marlins:

Munchin Marlins starts next Monday 6/13.  Please make sure to RSVP ASAP so we can obtain an accurate headcount.  The list of food items will be updated this week- I will send out an alert and email when you can start signing up for items to bring. 

1st Meet Tuesday 6/14 at Harrrington Grove:

We need you to please declare your swimmers ASAP- currently we have 23 declared as swimming and 2 declared absent- leaving 59 swimmers yet to be declared. Please remember the league standard is if you are not declared as swimming you are not entered in the lineup. Also, the TSA imposed deadline for lineups is Sunday at 11:59 PM so we need your declarations by 6 PM on Sunday for the following Tuesday meet.

I will be sending out additional information in next weeks update regarding directions, parking info, concessions at Harrington Grove, what to bring with you, etc. 

Coach's Update

This past week we worked on all strokes and diving/turns. We will continue with that next week along with Relay starts. If anyone can help out with kid catching for the 6 and Unders during Time Trials I would greatly appreciate it.  Also, if you are not able to be at Time Trials please let me know so we can set up an alternate time for you to be timed. Swimmingly- VERY IMPORTANT

First, for anyone volunteering at the meet who will be required to use Swimmingly (mostly timers) you will need the latest version on your phone. That is version 9.0.  Also, please remember when you come to the meet to make sure that your phone is fully charged.

Second, unfortunately I need to ask you all to register in yet another website.  Briefly, we use Swimtopia as required by the league to do your actual registration and for team management.  We use Swimmingly as our timing system and they require each guardian to register their children in their system (I tried to let them allow me as an admin to do it, but no luck.) If your swimmer is not registered in Swimmingly for the 2022 season there is no number assigned to them and they cannot be timed.

Please complete this registration as soon as you can so that we are able to time all swimmers on Tuesday. I apologize for the fast turnaround and the extra effort created!

To sum up, we need everyone this week, as soon as you can, to do the following:

1. If you can time on Tuesday for Time Trials please volunteer (just need 2 for last session, but please remember that if you plan to time at all this season this is the best opportunity to be trained)
2. RSVP for the 6/13 Munchin Marlins dinner
3. Declare your swimmer for 6/14 meet at Harrington Grove
4. Register your swimmers in Swimmingly
5. Update your Swimmingly App to version 9.0 if you use it for your volunteer position
